My name is Jen Ladd and this is my 16th year in District 28. I have spent the last several years working as Meadowbrook's literacy coach. I feel fortunate that I will now be working alongside students, helping them discover their full potential as students and humans. I'm excited that kindergarten will allow us the opportunity to learn how to read, write, and do math, but also how to interact and treat one another, as well as ourselves.
My family lives in Skokie where we spend our time visiting the library, making frequent trips to Target, and growing vegetables in our garden during the summer months.

Welcome to Meadowbrook!
My name is Kristine Schwandner, and I’m excited to join students on their kindergarten journey.
Our classroom will be a wonderful place to learn and grow.
We will work together to make it a kind, friendly and respectful community.
I earned my undergraduate degree at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and my Master of Arts
in Teaching at National Louis University. I previously taught at Meadowbrook School as a
teacher’s aide in 5th grade with Ms. Lifshitz. I grew up in Northbrook, and I live here with my
husband, Cliff, and two daughters, Emily & Gracie. I enjoy science fiction books and movies, as
well as golfing, platform tennis (paddle), cooking, traveling and taking long walks. One of my
favorite pastimes is hanging out with my daughters.
This will be a grrreat year of reading, writing and fun!
